How It Started
EquipmentEdge Magazine was created from the collaboration of two respected industry leaders – Showcase Equipment and Bright Star Auctions.
Showcase Equipment, a cornerstone in the sawmill equipment sector for with over 40 years’ experience, is known for its outstanding service, quality equipment, and customer support. In 2024, Showcase expanded its reach by acquiring Sawmill Exchange, further strengthening its presence in the industry.
Bright Star Auctions was founded in 2017 by Loren Beachy and Eugene Hochstetler and quickly grew into a national force in heavy equipment auctions. Built on a foundation of integrity and exceptional service, Bright Star has been a trusted resource for buyers and sellers across the U.S. Bright Star created the Bid Book, a phone bidding catalog that was sent out to people who avoid the use of the internet.
By combining the strengths of these two companies, EquipmentEdge was born to serve as a comprehensive resource for the equipment community. Our goal is to enrich the industry by connecting buyers and sellers and providing the insights necessary to drive success.
